East Cowes Town Hall
The Town Hall was built in 1897 and gifted to the East Cowes Urban District Council by Mrs Amy White, wife of the shipbuilder John White.
Mrs White intended for the hall to be a place for political meetings, entertainment, fundraising events and society functions, which it still is today.
The Town Hall is available for hire and hosts everything from lunches and birthday parties to Bingo evenings and Christmas pantomimes.
The hall kitchen can be used for refreshments but for special occasions you should bring your own crockery and cutlery.
The size of the hall is 39 ft by 52ft 7 ins and with a stage, the hall can accommodate talent shows and other amateur performances.
Seating: The hall can take seating for 160 and 20 standing. 58 seats on the Balcony. (No under 11s and all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult).
Tables: There are 8 large and 25 small tables
Hire costs are £10 per hour during the week and £14* per hour on the weekend for the Hall and servery. The charge for using the stage and backstage areas too is £20 per hour*.
